2 weeks..but i mean the time it takes to kick in after i take it..ie. Hours

I think it needs to build up in your system so could take a few weeks to do that. It won’t be instant I’m afraid. Hoping it starts to improve things for you soon.

From nomoreheels link below

“will start to relieve pain after a single dose, but its anti-inflammatory effect builds up over a few weeks of taking it regularly.”

It shouldn't take long at all to have effect, within an hour/s not days, it's what's called a rapid absorption med. If you take it with food it may help it work quicker but if you've no relief after a couple of days or so then I'd contact the prescriber, see what's advised. I always take it with my evening meds so it's worked on my inflammation overnight & it helps reduce the length of time I have stiffness in the morning.

Funnily enough on the info sheet it says taking on empty stomach is more effective but will try taking with breakfast tomorrow....thanks

Your Arcoxia tablets should be taken once a day, preferably at the same time each day. You can take your tablet either with or without food, but if you take it without food it may start to work faster. netdoctor.co.uk/medicines/a...

Do take it as you were advised though.
