Has anyone noticed a difference in brands of methotrexate? I have difficulty with Sandox but find the much smaller Tiva much easier, almost as if it’s a placebo. I’ve been assured there’s no difference but the difference in size alone suggests otherwise.

Methotrexate Brands
I’m on metoject injections and think they are the only brand. Sorry I don’t know about the pills.
I'm on injections now but when I was on tablets they were very small, about the size of folic acid or amitriptyline if you're prescribed those. Pointless giving the manufacturer or brand name even if I could remember as it was when I was living in Spain.
I would think there's little difference in price if you'd like to ask your prescriber to specifically state your preferred brand on your repeat script to ensure you're only given those, especially if they're easier for you to take & enteric coated so they're kinder on your tum.
I prefer the small Teva brand too, bit pot luck with my chemist as I am only on 7.5mg. Like NMH suggests I think I will ask only to be given these. X
You're not going mad . When I was on hydroxychloroquine the white tabs, Quinoric, made me feel so much more queasy than Teva , yellowy orange tabs, did. If it's potluck at your chemist change chemist . I found my chemist of 25 + years very blasé about my request for just Teva so I went to ASDA who filled my script with no excuses of wholesalers, dr fault, etc.
Just ask for your next script to say Teva brand only & shop around the pharmacys, they need your business & most will deliver . X
I was fine on the smaller ones for years then local pharmacy started giving me Sandox ones. Not long after I was getting bad nausea. Changed to Boots pharmacy but they started giving out Sandox too. Changed to injections now.
