Hi I've been on gabapentin for 3 years .They are addictive. I was prescribed for seizures.

Hey there, I wanted to get your opinion on Gabapentin. My psychiatrist went off label and prescribed it for anxiety/panic attacks. I'm scared to death to try new medications since this same psychiatrist had me all jumbled up the last time I saw her. It's only 100 mg three times a day (300 mg total a day, seems low from what I read). It makes sense for seizures (hope you're doing well there btw), but does it seem to be a good med off label for anxiety? I've heard mixed results. Take care and good luck.

I've been taking Gabapentin for nearly 3yrs now, started off on 100mg 3 times a day, very soon after upped the dosage as it wasnt helping, now on 200mg 3 times a day. I've had no problems or side effects either.
