Guys, you won't believe this, but the woman who's coming to do my home assessment tomorrow, has just phoned to ask if she can come TODAY instead!!!!

Take a wild guess wot I said to her!!

What are they playing at??

No. I did not say yes. If you read my original post you'll see I have to arrange for my carer to be with me. And it was difficult enough to get her for today after they only gave me 2 days warning.

To add to your title Unblinkinlievable. That's just not on & I'd have said no, that I'd rearranged (a fictitious) appointment for tomorrow & the person who's accompanying you isn't available so unfortunately you can't accommodate her. But then I am apt to cutting my nose off!

Oh don't worry they'll be getting an official complaint at some stage. Actually I thought after I calmed down, it may just have been a test to see how I'd react.....which in itself is not on! Anyway I am ready for her. xx

I'm pleased you stuck to your guns Sheena. I wouldn't have it if it wasn't possible for my h to be with me. It shouldn't make any difference to the outcome but if when you receive notification it appears it could have you do at least have ammunition in the form of the lateness of the request & the fact your friend wouldn't have been available a day earlier. Everything's crossed for you.

My old walking friend had her PIP assessment last Friday, It lasted all of 15 mins and was very rushed, it was the Christmas lunch and the assessor needed to get away sharp ! The assessor kept saying to her, that she could see was in a lot of pain and very stiff, so wouldn't ask her to do any movements. It's all recorded in case of a refusal.

The system is quite unbelievable.

I have my assessment today. Some only called me on Wednesday wanting to bring it forward to Thursday. I too said no. Good luck!
