NRAS Group Meetings— Week Commencing 12th November 2018
Great Yarmouth NRAS Group
The Great Yarmouth & Waveney NRAS Group meet in the ‘Buzz Room’ of the Louise Hamilton Centre, James Paget Hospital, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth, NR31 6LA from 5:30pm-7:00pm on the second Tuesday of each month (January-November).
13th November - Mike Swallow prescriptions online + update on Patient Summary Care Records etc.
Mid Somerset NRAS Group
Meetings are held at the Taunton Rugby Club, Hyde Lane, Bathpool, Taunton TA2 8BU.
Tuesday 13th November 7pm - Guest speaker: Clare Cockill, Yeovil District Hospital Nurse Specialist in Osteoporosis will present: 'All about Osteoporosis'
Oxford NRAS Group
This group is co-ordinated by Sue with the support of the Rheumatology Team. Meetings are held in the lecture theatre at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Windmill Road, Oxford OX3 7LD on Tuesdays every other month from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.
13th November - Kayleen Coutts, Rheumatoid Advanced Nurse Specialist will present: 'Managing a Flare'
Cambridge NRAS Group
This new NRAS Group is holding meetings at the Queen Edith Chapel, Wulfstan Way, Cambridge, CB1 8QN from 7:15pm - 8:45pm (refreshments from 7:15pm, guest speaker from 7:30pm).
14th November - Guest speaker: Dr Andra Negoescu, Consultant Rheumatologist, Addenbrooke's will present - “Management of rheumatoid arthritis – it’s not just about medicines!”
Tayside (Dundee) NRAS Group
The Tayside NRAS group are holding meetings once every other month at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee DD2 1UB from 6:30-8:00pm.
Wednesday 14th November (in the The Wolfson Lecture Theatre) - Guest speaker: Dr Jonathan Todman, Clinical Psychologist from the Health Psychology service in NHS Tayside, will present: ‘The links between chronic illness, pain, mood and quality of life’
Weston-super-Mare NRAS Group
Meetings are held in Conference Room 3 at The Campus, Highlands Lane, Weston-super-Mare, BS24 7DX monthly on a Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

Worcester NRAS Group
Bi-monthly meetings take place on Wednesdays between 6.45pm to 8.30pm at the Lyppard Hub in Ankerage Green, Warndon Villages, Worcester WR4 0DZ.
14th November - Dr Jet Veldhuijzen van Zanten, Senior Lecturer in Biological Psychology at the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Birmingham, will present: 'Physical activity and behaviour change in Rheumatoid Arthritis'
Blackpool NRAS Group
Blackpool and District NRAS Group (BADRAG) meet in the cafeteria at Clifton Hospital, Pershore Road, Lytham St. Annes, FY8 1PB from 7:00pm – 8:30pm on the third Thursday of alternate months, January through to November.
15th November - Our 8th Birthday Bash! Social event, no speaker.
Croydon NRAS Group
The Croydon NRAS group hold meetings at Purley United Reform Church Hall, 906 Brighton Road, Purley, Surrey, CR8 2LN from 7:00pm-8:30pm.
Thursday 15th November - 'Rheumatoid Arthritis the Positives and Challenges' - A personal talk on how you manage rheumatoid arthritis. All welcome to join the group for their final meeting of 2018.
North Lincolnshire (Grimsby) NRAS Group
This group will hold their meetings in: the large meeting room at Cromwell Road Fire Station, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, DN31 2BN once every other month on a Thursday from 6:30-8:30pm.

Plymouth NRAS Group
The group meet monthly on a Thursday in the Health Education Room at Mount Gould Hospital, Plymouth PL4 7QD from 12-2pm.
15th November - All welcome along to this meeting. Deposits and orders will be taken for the Christmas meal taking place on 13th December.
Stoke on Trent NRAS Group
The Stoke-on-Trent NRAS Group are holding all future meetings in the outpatients waiting area at the Haywood Hospital, High Lane, Burslem, ST6 7AG on the third Thursday of every other month from 7:00-8:30pm.
15th November - Laura Campbell and Adele Higginbottom from the PPIE (Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement) programme at Keele University will talk about patient involvement in non-clinical research studies and how you can use your experience to help with future projects.
West Middlesex NRAS Group
This group meets at Hillingdon Baptist Church Halls, Patterson Room, Hercies Road, Uxbridge, Middlesex, UB10 9LS. Meetings run from 2:00pm - 4:00pm quarterly on a Thursday.
15th November - Guest speaker: Colin Morris from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). Plus, Iain from NRAS will be attending to gather feedback on the use of e-learning tools for supported self-management in RA.
West Wales (Haverfordwest) NRAS Group
Meetings held in: The Renal Unit Seminar Room at Withybush General Hospital, Fishguard Rd, Haverfordwest SA61 2PZ and will take place once every other month on a Thursday from 6:30pm.
15th November - Guest speaker: Kath Nur, Chronic Pain Nurse will be talking to the group
Yeovil NRAS Group
Coffee morning to be held at: Palmers Garden Centre Coffee Shop, Bernards Way, Bunford Lane, Yeovil, BA20 2FH from 10:30am-12:00pm. Final coffee morning for 2018: Thursday 15th November.
You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
