I am currently struggling with walking (RA OA and loose revised TKR! 😱 awaiting appointment) now I won’t admit defeat and use anything at work partly as it looks bad when your nurse can’t walk! But do need something for when I need to walk a bit further.
I would us regular elbow crutches but I really don’t think my shoulders, elbows and hands will cope with them. I have looked at the forearm crutches but don’t know anyone who actually uses them. Do they put pressure on shoulders / elbows/ hands? How does anyone else get on with them? What else do people use?
Thanks in advance x

I used to walk easily with just one walking stick. Now I use a rollator that foldds up to fit in a car boot, and also has a little seat for me to sit on when I need to stop for a minute.
My vote is for a rollator too just couldn't manage stick or crutches- too sore on the wrists! Wouldn't now be without it and should most probably have bought it sooner! M x
Thank you all - how is the rollator on grass / outdoor uneven surfaces - I am a stubborn ****** and only want to use them for walking the dog at the moment?
I had seen these too - smartcrutch.uk has anyone had experience of them? - do these hurt shoulders / elbows / wrists? Are they any different from other gutter crutches?
