changing meds and seeing things

I read a post where the lady said she had been on etenercept for 10 years and it stopped working. After trying a couple of others she asked her rheumatologist if it would be worth going back on the etenercept and he agreed and it worked. I had the same problem and after trying 5different biologics and anti TNFs I asked my rheumy if we could try going back s he only had 1more to offer me and it doesn't work well if you have diverticulitis which I have anyway he agreed and put me on it along with methotrexate and voila it worked so thank you whoever it was who wrote the original post.

PS I wonder if anyone has had this a couple of years ago when I was going through a really bad flare up I got hallucinations especially at night I would be wide awake and I would see an old lady standinh at the side of the bed and I would be wakened by someone sticking their face in mine and shouting boo and I would wake up and for a minute or two they would still be there it lasted a few months and was quite scary, I did ask my doctor if my RA could cause this, he said yes the heat from my infection could cause delusions and hallucinations I used to think I was seeing ghosts and I was ill enough withoit that. anybody had this happen to them?

You can get hulliciations when your temperature is raised so it’s possible especially you were in a flare

I have often had hallucinations when I'm ill - I'm never sure whether it's the raised temperature or the drugs. I try to regard them with interest rather than alarm with reduces the fear factor associated.
