My Arthritis is very bad just now and it have spread to my wrist and thumbs I have had all the test even a Clinical 3 hour assessment at Larbert hospital can I insist on seeing a proper Arthritis Doctor?? Fedup

When my problems started I went to my GP who sent me straight to a rheumatologist on a referral at local hospital go back to your GP and ask to be referred to a rheumatologist ASAP. Failing that ask to see another GP at you doctors surgery and ask for second opinion.

You can ask to be referred to a specialist, a rheumatologist. But it is your GPs decision whether to do so. Generally the hospital specialists have guidelines about who should be referred.

Did your GP not discuss the outcome of the clinical assessment and next steps with you?

I had that turned out to be carpal tunnel not my RA
