Hi everyone.
Just wanted to drop an entry here about dementia and communication with a person diagnosed with dementia. This is just a miniscule list, but good places to Start.
Early education of family's and friends and neighbours is, in my opinion, the key to reducing the stresses and pressures on those absolute hero's of mine, the Care Warrior Angels at the frontlines 24/7.
Even if you don't have someone in you life with dementia, you can Never learn early enough and become aware.

Mindfulness meditation, wherever you can get it. And remember, meditation is not about absence of thought, it's about focus. On your breathing, your footsteps, the water hitting your plants, the water falling from rocks, the ocean, the air on your skin, the feel of your butt on the chair, whatever you want that works. The monkey mind will still throw stuff up, but just practice letting it flew part, rather than grab it. As with everything in life, practice, practice, practice.
Remember always. The person diagnosed with dementia is not giving you a hard time, they are having a bad time.
Cheers and have a good one.
Big hugs to those wonderful Care Warriors
