Holiday nearly over,boo hoo ................

Well come tomorrow we will be on our way home from our two week holiday. It has been a holiday with mixed blessings,the weather has been good and it has just turned hot as well. We had our friend fly down and joined us and a lovely time was had by all of us. It is lovely to have a friend who is so easy to be with. We have been to loads of places,eg; lost gardens of Heligan(beautiful place) The Eden project(never fails to amaze) Lands end (always lovely though very misty this year.) St. Ives(gorgeous place) to see a friend who is a lot worse than i am,she is getting worse sadly. They are just a few of the places we have visited.

Now to my health. This is a right royal tale i can tell you. My back hasn't been good at all i have not been able to walk far though i have pushed myself to walk to the shop to get the newspapers. My knee is a mess to say the least. I see the surgeon in July re; the knee. Tomorrow when we get home it is straight down the hospital for pre-op for the toes on my left foot then the following week having them done. What a welcome home present. Now to something else completely. I have been bitten a bit and the bite on my knee is very hot and swollen more than ever and it is on the knee that needs sorting out. Now to my hand,i don't remember getting bit, but it has been swollen for days and so hot and it is still not right. I went into the chemists and he gave me steroid cream which has helped,but it hasn't gone yet. I am worried it might be something else.We are planning on seeing our dr. next week and have a good chat with her.

Pleased you enjoyed your hols Sylvi. Sorry to hear about the body tho. Not long to wait to see someone. You will have just done the washing and got straight from the hols etc then its to the doc. Just a side....ive come into the garden as its beautiful and the son in law is going to watch the football at our house and we are doing a bbq, husband not bothered about the football. Blow me down a neighbour has put tv in garden and I can hear every word. Very nice neighbour, but you are kidding me .....

So glad you have had such a good holiday - shame it had to come with unwanted free gifts. We go to France every year and my husband always gets bitten. Now his gp gives Home a prescription for antibiotics before he goes because one or more always gets infected. I hope your gp gets you sorted. Good luck with your toe op (are you having them straightened?) and I hope your knee man has a solution to your knee probs.

Re bites: over the years I've tried loads of things to reduce the swelling, hat and pain but honstly the best thing I've found is sudacreme! If you get to the bite quickly it clears up after a few applications.
