Hi friends, crochet is my hobby. I find it therapeutic. For the past one year, I have been making scarves, vests and dresses for babies, solely with the aim of doing something for the have nots. Just last week donated steel trunk boxes to inmates in an old age home, all of them destitutes. It does take a lot of time, especially when I am down with fatigue. But the past year has been really good, with my inflammation markers down. Something to pass my time, as well as to help someone in need.
A small sample of circular vests.

I love to knit but find it difficult with my fingers and wrists now. Maybe crochet is the way to go. Not done it for years. Thanks for the insperation . xx
They re lovely, used to knit but makes hands n wrists ache. Do you find crochet kinder on fingers?
Yes, Kerena, i stopped knitting a long time ago. Took up crochet only because endless periods of fatigue stopped me from doing any work at home. With the newer soft handle hooks, it's definitely easier on the fingers. Take a week to make one, but still worth the effort.
I’d love to do that.Seen on tv last night new mag out on how to crochet.Even though I also suffer with my wrists and fingers it would help to stop them stifling up.Food for thought thanks Hun
My hands and wrists are badly affected too but I taught myself to crochet when I found knitting become more difficult. I bought some ergonic crochet hooks and have made my daughter a large throw from granny squares. I’m now working on a throw for my caravan. I was bored with squares and taught myself to do hexagons and it is now a work in progress.
Thank you Annefield. However I have to make do with yarn available here in India. Got some Bernat Pop last year. Very beautiful colours and so soft too. The copper sulphate blue and pink is Bernat Pop. But becomes expensive to get it shipped to India.
You are an artist, Padram. Such beautiful colours and textures! You should be proud of your lovely vests, all your hard work and your efforts for charity. I am sure you and they are greatly appreciated. I just hope my efforts work out so well. Hugs
Thank you Gnarli. Yes, people love them so much but I am unable to keep pace with the demand! Many have expressed an interest to learn crochet. Now I am so excited that crochet is getting revived. Many arts are dying. Very happy to do my bit.
I love to knit but can't do so much now. Just do a few rows then need to rest the fingers as they cramp up. I now knit squares or strips for blankets as that is easy to pick up and put down without having to remember where you are in the pattern. 😁
