Looking for views on these because of stomach problems daughter can only take pain meds no more anti inflammatory meds.

She is going to talk to GP about patches any experiences you wonderful people can give

Thanks

I was told that non-steroidals can cause stomach problems no matter what route they ae used. The damage is not from direct contact of the tablets with the stomach wall but a systemic effect as they circulate in the bloodstream. So be aware of that.

I’m on morphine patches and have been for about 5years because of my RA, they don’t work against swellings, if she can cope without having patches. Best of luck in your search.

It is worth a try as she has everything to gain if they work. I am on morphine patches and have been for 2 years with only the occasional itch from the patch. I have been allergic to a lot of other meds but I tolerate this well. She should definitely talk it through with her GP. if she can get pain under control that is half the battle. Good luck and hope she feels better soon.
