Embracing the pain, enduring the pain, loving God through the pain... or, at least I'm trying!

Looking back, I guess I've always has this lovely autoimmune disorder. Through a magnificent doctor, who spent hours with me at his clinic, he says that many of my family probably were incorrectly misdiagnosed. I've had "hints" of the symptoms for a few decades now. Doctors did the same with me as those treating my parents and siblings, misdiagnosing what I had and I wasn't getting any help. One doctor actually said he was stumped... then, he said I had "Chronic Pain Disorder." It took a trauma to rear this "monster's" head and brought it to life full force.

Glad to hear that you have a diagnosis - it makes it slightly easier to cope with all if you have a target to aim at.

i do get to read UK has the slowest diagnosis record in the entire EU. I often wonder if it's worth going to France to see a specialist there rather than spending years being fobbed off by men in a white coat as if it's taboo to diagnose arthritis immediately. We all grieve the lost time, wondering what was wrong.

Isn't it awful how people with autoimmune disorders have to endure the pain? It just isn't right. So sorry it took a longtime to be diagnosed. I hope the meds work fast for you.
