Surgery or not: Trigger thumb and tendinitis in left... - NRAS
Surgery or not
Well, a steroid injection into the tendon sheath solved my trigger finger. It had got to the stage where it was no longer triggering, thanks to my then GP who said it wasn't trigger finger by the time my Rheumy appointment came it was stuck in flexion. She told me it had gone too far & I'd need surgery if the steroid injection didn't work but it did, so far. The tendonitis may be eased with cold compresses or NSAIDs & rest, physio, or if they don't help, again, a steroid injection. For both these are usually tried before surgery.
I hope your shoulder surgery goes well.
I had surgery for trigger finger and elbow for numb fingers. I didn't feel it was worth it. Trigger finger problem returned.Elbow slowly recovered. How about PT. I LOVE hot water when I hurt. Concentrate on rotated cuff for any surgery.ONLY my opinion.
