Update MTX to Leflunomide

Hi guys!! Wanted to update you since change in meds.....

Have been on the leflunomide for two weeks now. Nothing eventful to report except I had a weekend shutdown because of a painful flare up. I've thrown up a few times but nothing routine. Not sure what to expect but I haven't had a flare up like that since the pre diagnose days.

(Remember I was on MTX for 6 weeks then the lung problem, therefore the med change)

The pain was unbareable at times....

I'm still moving along trying to find my chemical answer.

Maybe leflunomide will be it!!!

Hope I’m replying to tintoy43 (new on here, technodunce) I’ve ticked the follow as my rheumatologist said to research leflunomide... interested in how you get on with it. I was taken off MTX a year ago, was doing ok on just sulfasalazine but now having problems. Leflunomide is his next suggestion..., hope it works for you. Merry Christmas.

Was diagnosed mid September and started on methotrexate which didn't do to well as it made me short of breath. Now I'm on leflunomide and all I can say is sometimes I throw up. This weekend I had a horrible flare up. Hope this stuff works I've been on it 3 weeks now. I do get depressed but that could be me and not the meds I just don't know.
