This photo of a young man on this site who was switched to a Biosimilar really concentrates the mind about what can happen, Apparently this rash/ condition spread right up his leg
Apologies but I can't remember if it was Dave or Derek..but if you read this ...how at you ? I do hope you are more comfortable now.

Hi I'm on Benepali which is a substitute for Embrel and I have a similar rash on my right calf, I have DVT on that leg and just thought it was to do with that .im going to the flare clinic today as the Benepali and Methetrexate have stopped working
I switched from Enbrel to its biosimilar, Benipali, without any adverse side effects six months ago. My understanding is that if you have an adverse reaction you can switch back.
That may work for some Biologic drugs but RITUXIMAB is an infusion every six months.
I'm not willing to chance having a 6 month supply of a Biosimilar infused & then find it causes Problems.
If I were just starting a Similar it would not be a problem, & I would go ahead but changing is not an option for me. I am in remission fir the first time in 18 years, & can lead a 90% normal life ....I will not give in without a very big fight.
After all...I probably haven't got another 18 years to play with - Lol!
The damage that can be done to joints (and my joints get damage and deformity very quickly) whilst there is very little protection from a med that is working is unthinkable. 😐
