Does anybody get pain where you can't make a fist because of painful palms. It is definitely arthritis pain and it happens quite frequently. I didn't mention it to the consultant last time but I have palindromic rheumatism and RA and I remember him saying that palindromic often causes pain in soft tissue/ligaments too. Anyone relate to what I'm saying? Thank you

Painful palms.
Hi Elmo , waking up with painful palms and swollen fingers were my first symptoms. Oh and an episode of costochondritis where I ended up at A and E frightened to bits. Now two months off treatment all the hand pain is back with one almighty flare in my wrist where it looked like there was an alien in there ! Hope your symptoms settle quickly. Do you find mornings are worst ?
Thanks for replying izzyowl. It often starts in the morning but gets worse throughout the day-very odd. How come you're off treatment? No judgement there, I've come off medication before now but then regretted it so am committed to the drugs at the moment. Sorry you're in pain again, flares in the hand are very debilitating. Wish you better
Hi Elmo, unfortunately I had to come off methotrexate because i got some infections. All being well I am starting back on it is a couple of weeks but this time they won't take the dose up too high. It worked so well, so I have faith in getting back into remission. "Gotta have faith "... That song will be going round my head now all day !
Yeah, I can. I get painful palms too. Quite a bit of soft tissue pain. Don't know my diagnosis. Still looking.
