We aren't supposed to give medical advice on this site, and surely me selling beer for a living wouldn't quilify me to give medical advice. But from what I know, Palindromic rheumatism can develop into RA. Are you on any meds to prevent it turning into RA? Please talk to your rheumatologist about your finger tips turning purple you might have a condition called Raynaud Phenomenon. There are meds for Raynaud's.

Thanks for replying . I have only seen my rheumatologist once so far and seeing him again next week . He gave me a steroid injection a few weeks ago and it took all my symptoms away but only for about a week ... basically my foot has been hurting and swelling around the ankle joint for the 2 months , groin pain , nasty pains in fingers ... it started 2 years ago but only very occasionally., but the last few months it's got bad which is why I was ref to a rheumatologist.. my fingers are sore and stingy and go dark purple . I'm hoping the dr will put me on something next week as it's getting me down now

I know it's hard, but PLEASE STOP feeling down. You are at the begining of this "crazy" journey. How do I know this?...Well I lived it, and "YES" there is a silverlining.... Please follow the advice of your rheumatologist, they are here to help you & everyone.
