In recent weeks my GP practice had not properly updated records to reflect Specialist decisions ie adjustments to meds and changes to blood test intervals.
Result: wasted 4 MTX Metoject pens due to wrong dose (too high).
And several trips to and fro the GP premises and the pharmacy before my Metoject is finally in my hands.
Delayed dose or missed dose.
Possibly contributed to flare recently quelled.
Then last Friday, wrong injector device prescribed; pharmacy staff took the prescription to GP to change it but he just said it was correct! So, not been able to get MTX yet, was due to inject yesterday.
Yesterday, GP gives prescription for correct dose and correct device, great! Might be just a day late, not so bad as pharmacy reorder which usually takes two days but promise it overnight.
Back today but everybody else’s meds are in; mine is listed but not actually there! Second time supplier has done that. Should get it Sat instead.
AND of course, 4 more injections wasted at NHS cost.
AND GP made prescription for just one Metoject! I always get 4 at a time and next week’s order should go in today....
back to GP for fast access to prescription for 3 Metoject pens, now with pharmacy. Phew!
Rant over, for now anyway, LOL
