This backs up leaky gut theory too since we all have mycoplasma as part of the bacteria that inhabit the gut.
It’s when they get through the gut wall that trouble begins, as they meander anywhere they want.
And when they leave a host cell (seems that’s the reason auto antibodies attack; mycoplasma lurk in the body’s cells, sometimes changing the cell shape too. Cancer too, can be caused this way apparently) they take a piece of the host cell with them!
Fascinating, makes more sense to me than saying the immune system has gone awry.

I don't think the immunesystem has gone waky eather. I think it is doing its best to resolve an impossible situation which unfortunarely becomes a vicious circle enforcing it self. It needs help to become more functional not suppression. The mycoplasma infection theory is one way to look at it and an other that it is a metabolic disease causing a chronic dysfunction in the energy production of cells that lead to different dysfunctional processes in the immune response.xx Simba
Yes, but it seems to me to be more like a problem of poor nutrition combined with toxins we eat in food due to modern methods of cultivation and harvesting.
Fix those and we may be more than halfway to cure, and definitely onto prevention methods.
Of course, I only just discovered mycoplasma a week or two ago when Hao posted something valid. That’s the guy in the US with Vietnamese background. Thanks, Hao!
Nutrtion and enviromental toxins are important players in AI and should always be part of the treatment plan. Even with Dr. Browns Minocyklin treatment of mycoplasma it was evident that those with a diet plan had better chances of recovering. Getting your gut and microbiom in shape is probably the first thing to concentrate on.
That is what I did starting May 2016 when I had begun investigating how to give my body its best chance of resilience and recovery.
My plan of no sugar except in fruit, and then also limit that and maximise veggie intake, has been sabotaged this week; baked a big spelt flour chocolate cake with hemp oil and also sugar... but oh boy, it’s so good!

Good idea to sabbotage the low carb diet.😊You do a lot of bad things to your metabolism if carbs, proteins and fats are not eaten in right proportions. Low carb often feels good in the beginning but backfires badly most of the time and messes up your metabolism. If you restrict your carbs you really need to find out what this means for the energy production of your body. Manipulating with nutrition is almost like manipulating with meds if you are not aware of the effects.
Just eating healthy foods, but this includes good carbs ie Veggies, fruits, nuts, oats, organic as much as possible too. Oat and wheat crops have been dessicated here and in the US for decades ie they are treated with weed killer (glyphosate) before harvest so that all grains etc are released simultaneously from both ripe and unripe plants, producing a larger crop, albeit containing a toxin.
I use spelt flour as the gluten remains unchanged, unlike wheat gluten. So far it has served me very well.
Balance is the key!
