Acupuncture?
Yes!! Specialist physio did my knees . Over three years ago and I'm still not back to the agony of before . He did quite a few sessions them if I remember a few more six month later I think.
So yes I would recommend a nhs specialist .
I found acupuncture very relaxing and acupressure massage really helpful for my knees in that I think it improved the blood flow but that was all. It did not help with inflammation.
My back went into a severe spasm and it really helped at the time.
I was wondering about it specifically for flares.
I have had great success with acupuncture, you will have to find a good acupuncturist. Not all are equal.
I did acupuncture for 5 years.I only stopped because of financial reasons.Very important to find a well qualified acupuncturist.
I think acupuncture is the bees-knees!
I had a course of 12 sessions for my knees about 10yrs ago, at a cost of £250.the NHS here doesn't offer it. It has been pretty good so far but have to keep exercising.
Thank you all! I have an appointment tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
Update: I have had considerable relief with acupuncture. My hand feels better than it has in months.
