Hi all,
Does anyone else find that cups of tea, even with very little milk, make the feeling of nausea when taking Methotrexate worse?

Hello Roggles ,
For me its coffee. But I would encourage you to persevere with drinking something and eating a little if possible because dehydration will make feeling sick from methotexate worse too.
My Gp suggested upping my folic acid to 6 days a week, not methotrexate day. Being very careful to remember what time of day you take your weekly dose helps because it is so sensitive that if you take it earlier in the day than the previous week it can lead to sickness too.
Also even drinking a small amount of alcohol can make things go haywire? Not a little of what you fancy doesn't do you good sometimes?
I hope this helps you? I try and remember exactly what time of day I take methotexate and it has helped me enormously.
Hi I have found that coffee made me have nausea I have never drank s lot of coffee but I do not drink at all now.
There's an iPhone app called Medisafe that can help you keep track of what time you have taken & when to take your medicine
Yes definitely - I feel rotten the whole next day after taking methotrexate but tea makes me feel even worse.
I seem to eat lots too on this day, it's the only thing that makes the nausea feeling bearable.
