Arthritis nightmare!!😢

I've got osteoarthritis of my thumb joints 2 yrs ago. Received cortisone injections for about a year before they stopped working. Wore splints, but the pain was unbearable,so my doctor did CMC surgery with LRTI on my dominant hand. 3 months post op now and I have very little strength and still having pain in my thumb and wrist. I also have pain and stiffness in my fingers and 2 of my knuckles are huge, along with my pointer finger that is contracting at the middle knuckle. My other hand,thumb Joint and fingers hurt all the time. Last week, I noticed that my feet hurt, especially my toes on both feet. When I wake up I can hardly move my toes. Walking is very painful. My feet always feel like I've worked a double shift when I used to be a hospital nurse. I've already been diagnosed with osteoarthritis of both my thumb joints. Could I have rheumatoid arthritis??? I'm worried because I will lose my job if I'm not well enough to return to work in Oct...

Sorry to hear you are in pain and so uncomfortable.

You need to have some bloods done , and referral to a rheumatologist . From what I've seen , so many people are fobbed off , or their drs just don't refer .....or they go to a rheumatologist who isn't very good , and they end up wasting valuable treatment time. If it is Rheumatoid disease , you need to get in early with treatment . If it turns out to not be RD .....fantastic !

You need to get it checked out . There needs to be a reason for your symptoms. Don't stress too much about it though......it could be something relatively simple and treatable ......
