61 old female who has a bloated stomach

Hi, my my name is Lesley, I am 61 years of age, I live i rural England, have always had a very healthy life, but recently have been diagnosed as having gallstones. My stomach is bloated, even though I maintain a very healthy diet. Any advice please?

Hi blakemore210254, I am no expert on anything to do with anyone's stomach but was the carer for my dad who got an obstructed gall-bladder. He was often in pain with it and could only eat a very limited, fat free diet. In the end he had lost so much weight I insisted they operate and after recuperation, he was like a new person. My young niece has also just been found to have gall-stones, and hers have been broken up with ultra sound and she is fine too, and currently expecting her second baby. It runs in my family to get gall-stones, and I wonder if I have them as I can only eat fat free things! My niece who had the ultra sound was better so soon, and I would want that if I was in your shoes. I hope you get appropriate help with it soon. Regards,
