Symptoms of RA

Hi there . I am currently off medication for two weeks due to not tolerating MTX. My pain is starting up , got really sick today . I'm going to my RA doctor tomorrow just wondering has anybody had symptoms of feeling like you have the flu with nausea and chest or rib cage hurting . I know sounds weird , but thought I would ask 🙁

Yes absolutely have. I always knew when I was heading for a flare, I would get all of the symptoms that you've stated above & then the joints would start. Luckily for me it doesn't happen to often these days due to hydroxychoroquine.

I was the same until hydroxychoroquine came into my life also hope this helps.

Hi Hairdevine,

Are you on tablets? If so, ask for injections- easier to tolerate at least in terms of nausea( still tiring and leave you a bit spacey, but at least not throwing up all the time)

Me too! Well worth telling your rheumy. My memory is dreadful these days so I write everything down. You know, symptoms, time/day/date of onset, photos etc. It makes me feel like a hypochondriac but works for me. Wishing you well for your appointment. Hugs

Yes, very familiar! Make sure you tell them about your ribs, as may well be inflammation of the bits between the ribs (costochondritis). Hope you find a bearable drug soon.

Thx for the info ! I got my 1st injection of MTX 🙏 it works
