As you all know i have had problems with my neck which touch wood is getting easier though it hasn't gone altogether. On Monday i had a MRI on my neck,i felt like the man in the iron mask. Then today i had two appt, one with the podiarist and the other with the lower limb specialist. Podiarist thinks that the trouble i have on the underside of my foot on the ball is a nerve as when she was taking the callus of it i nearly hit the roof. She feels that it is a nerve causing me problems and when i told her who we was seeing down the hospital she said to mention it to him as she thinks that it is related to my toes which are curling under into a hammer form.Well he has said that after the op on m back he will then put me on his list to straighten them.It is never ending for me this year and i will be glad to see the back end of it as it hasn't been kind to me this year.xxxxxx
What next i ask myself.................: As you all... - NRAS
What next i ask myself.................
Shame they can't do your back and toes at the same time 😁
I'm not sure how you've managed this last six months plus ,one thing after another even though it's happening to ourselves as well it just seems to be picking on you a hell of a lot more , life can be horrible sometimes can't it , you take care Silvi and I hope your husbands ok too 🦋🦋
Wishing you the very best .
Beautiful photo !
So sorry to hear you're having so many problems all at once. Hope the docs are able to help you feel stronger soon!
I had surgery on a hammer toe on Tuesday - it was done in the day unit of a clinic under local anaesthetic (very bizarre feeling knowing that someone is cutting open your toe and you can't feel anything!). I actually had to change my car for one with an automatic gear box because it was so painful changing gear! I also have problems with the soles of my feet - corns appeared and I go to a podiatrist regularly to get them sorted, but am not sure if you can completely removed them.
Hope you have a good day. Take care. xo
KayEP I hope your surgery went well and it will help you. I have had surgery under local anaesthetic when i broke my ankle,i can't remember for the life of me what it was they gave me,i can remember i was awake the whole time and chatting with the staff mending my ankle. |My foot is very sore after the podiarist dug into the sole of my foot and she thinks there is a nerve which is caused by the hammer toes which are now set hence why i am going under the knife.xxxxx
I think corns are continual. I started getting them a few years ago have to go to podiatrist at least 2 times a year to have them scraped
In my experience I'm afraid existing corns don't go, or stop being a pain. I see my Podietrist regularly, every other month or so, to have mine sorted. One who is adept at getting the 'pip' out (there is a proper word for it but it eludes me at the mo!) without causing any pain is the key. Last time I was given a file to use on the callouses surrounding them & I must say it seems to have prevented the pip forming quite so quickly so I'll continue with this until it does. As it is now I can see I may not have to see her quite so regularly doing this so maybe you could ask your Podietrist if she can provide you with one & see if it will help you too?
Hope all goes well with your op 😄
Poor you! Just when you get one thing fixed there's another waiting in the wings. Feet are difficult aren't they because you kind of need them to get about. Hopefully once your back and feet are fixed you'll feel good as new 💐
I know that nerve Sylvia, painful little beggar isn't it?! Fortunately it's not caused me any trouble for a while, I think thanks to my orthotics. I hope they do operate on your hammer toe, they are such a pain. I wore some new shoes the other day & in my rush I forgot to spray my feet with my special foot spray, the one which coats my foot to help stop rubbing, & also forgot my foam tubes I put on my hammer toes & I have blinkin broken blisters on both now. I hope once you're recovered from your back op you can have yours straightened, even though I know your back is by far the more critical op little things like toes can also be a bind. x
So sorry to hear all the trouble you're having . sending you a - gentle- hug x
You've had a rotten time this last six months haven't you? I sincerely hope your back operation starts you back on the road to wellness and your foot operation allows you to dance along it. Hugs
Jan
I'm so sorry Sylvi... It truly does seen to be never ending for you. Sending prayers and gentle hugs....
I remember when my mother in law was dying over a five month period, I went every time with her to the ER. One night when my hubby and I got there, I asked her if I could do anything for her, and she asked me to "hold her toes". So I did. I would come over and hold yours too if it would help...
Thats sweet of you darling.xxxx
