Sorry small rant, had to see go today as nurse was concerned about my blood pressure still high. They tried to take it but they couldn't get a reading told me my arms wasn't straight enough and tried to wrench it. Explained that it would not go any straighter but they then tried to turn it again by grabbing my wrist. By this time was crying in pain as have had a flare over the weekend and wrists and hands are swollen and painful. They know I have RA, sorry rant over now. Hope everyone is enjoying their day.

I would put in a complaint as that is not on and disrespectful. Hope you feel better soon
Oh I'm utterly disgusted at the ignorance of the nurse. Please do not suffer in silence, make a complaint. This nurse should not be in nursing.
Definitely put in a complaint to the practice manager.
Disgusting behaviour from a personal supposed to be in a caring profession. Harsh, bullying behaviour bordering on torture. Definitely put in a complaint to the practice manager. Big gentle hugs

Your gp and nurse should know that they can use a wrist cuff or ankle to get a bp and alter by 5% if they cant get a reading from your arm
It is disgraceful. I was trained to get a BP from either the arm or the back of the knee if the arm was not ideal or missing.
