Methotrexate and the sun

I know that being in the sun and taking mtx can be a problem, and although I am not a sun lover, I have, nevertheless , ended up with a red spotty face, neck and chest. However, my lips are swollen like I have had botox. Anyone had that problem?

My husband often calls me an old trout but I hadn`t planned on looking like one!

It sounds like an allergic reaction to something and maybe getting it checked out would be wise. At least try some antihistamine and see if that helps with the swollen lips.

Have u tried using a lip balm w sun protection in it? It will help keep the harming effects of the sun off ur lips when out
