Weight gain with MTX ....Y E S

I've been taking this concoction mtx & folio acid for pffft 6-7 yrs.

I've never been this ROUND in all my days .

Decided to sign up bc I've noticed several thing going on .

Like pale skin, bumps on my arms so big my grand son has them named !

So very tired , so tired this ( signing up ) is even too much..

I could use more info and a cpl shots of ESPRESSO .

Welcome to the group. A lot of us find we get rather round (as you put it) because we can't do the exercise and moving around that we used to - and many of the treatments also cause weight gain.

I always comfort myself by the thought that the thin people who have RD seem to be the worst affected!

Thank goodness for THAT

I also take steroids and humira.

But lately the pain has kicked my round butt , oh and I have a major case of FIBROMYALGIA

I'm so tired of the fight ....the drs asking if I need PSYCH help ?

I've I had been more agile I'd showed her PSYCH , but I was too fatigued .

Just to cheer you up - I have managed to lose some weight since I reduced the steroids to mainly 5mg with occasional higher bursts. So far I back down by 10KG, so I feel I'm doing well - that's what I tell myself! Still rather round in the nether regions though!

I've decided it's better to be a round grand MA than a younger me .

I've gotten much better with age

Tomorrow I stop smoking ..it's the grand sons 2 ND Birthday .

It's my present to him and our future ,
