Humara and hives
I was advised to take antihistermene pill day before injection & for 3/4 days aftetwards and it worked. I was getting a rash all over my body when I first started on Humira.
Go to your local walk in centre. I developed itchy skin and hayfever after starting embrel. The doctor prescribed me fexofenadine hydrochloride which I take daily. I get hives on my hands in the summer which started after I started humira but I still get them now I'm on tocilizumab . I was prescribed a steroid cream for them which stops the soreness and itching.
I had been on Humira for approximately 2 years when I started having problems with it. It had worked wonderfully during that time but I then began to get psoriasis, mainly on legs but elsewhere as well. After a few months they were like large burst blisters, that's the best way I can describe them. I was taken off Humira as soon as I showed Rheumy. As my inflammation levels had been ok on it I wasn't put straight onto another biologic but just stayed on sulfasalazine. I am now off all meds except occasional pain killers. I would advise ringing your Rheumy before you start taking other tablets to counteract the effects of Humira.
I had the same through medication the doctor have me citirizine tablets take one a day and it stops it you can buy these over the counter at chemists or super markets
I've understood the hives with Humira should always be checked by the doc. Very often shows allergic reaction to med.
Can also be reaction to soap powder mine was due to letrozole meds
It tells you the side effects on the leaflet that comes with the tablets they will give you citirizine and it will calm down after you take them just one a day but you can buy it without prescription
