May your day be blessed with love one's and enjoy your awesome day. For those of us that have lost our Mother's. Hi Dana

In the U.K. , Mother's Day is held on the fourth Sunday of Lent - three weeks before Easter Sunday and usually falls in the second half of March or early April. It's Something that was Intrinsically linked with religion/ Easter.

My undesrstanding is that the U.S and much of Europe elebrate it Today (2nd Sunday in May) and is an annual Holiday.

Regardless of the when and why of the matter ; wishing you a good one!

Thank you Marie, Actually I find it interesting. I am working on my family tree and find it very interesting learning about how our forefather's and where we came from. I did an DNA test and found out I was only 1% Caucasian. No matter what though mother's are very special . Have a wonderful day. Danna

Wow, that's interesting. I have dual nationality ( Scottish and Irish -south Ireland ) and have often thought about doing mine.

You're totally correct - mothers are very special therefore I conclude that it is not by accident there are now twos days per year on which to celebrate the fact.

Aw, I got it. In America, its celebrated on second Sunday in may!

No I don't live in the UK but would one day love to visit.
