Well folks as you know I've been in bed since last Tuesday and nearly landed in Hospital 2 due to breathing problems, he thinks I've got an infection and has given me antibiotics to see if that will clear it but says if it gets any worse I've too go straight to hospital, so hopefully the antibiotics do the job

Sorry to hear you're poorly PS. I hope the antibiotics will do the trick, you don't want it settling so do finish the course. Rest up & hopefully you'll be back on form soon. x

Just a thought, have you checked the antibiotic is OK to take with MTX?

I think it's only Septrin and Trimethaprin that you can't take with mtx!! I only know because the nurse came yesterday to show me how to do the mtx injections and she told me!! Hope you can avoid hospital at all costs!! :-) Frankie 63

Yes, Septrin (co-trimoxazole, a combination of sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim), or any of the sulfonomide or penicillin group of antibiotics. There's an extensive list but I'm pushed for time a the mo.

I usually inject on Sunday night but am going to miss a week until I've taken the antibiotics, I took my Benepali on Friday and the GP was fine and said leave the mtx until this clears up ,
