NRAS would like to inform you of an opportunity to participate in a clinical trial of a new orally administered drug for the treatment of RA. The study is being conducted by Imperial College London.

There are a number of criteria any participants would need to meet before being accepted onto the trial which will be discussed with you when you express interest. Currently recruiting for 5 participants at this early stage of the trial.

The commitment is for 8 weeks and will include the need for 8 overnight stays and 2 outpatient visit at Hammersmith Hospital. Compensation for time and travel is paid at the recommended NIHR rates.

Anyone interested in finding out more about taking part in this study should meet at least the following criteria:

- Aged between 18 and 60 and with a confirmed diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis

- Being treated with and able to tolerate oral or subcutaneous methotrexate

- Body weight of between 50 and 100 kg and BMI of between 18 and 30 kg/m2 (if you don’t know your BMI don’t worry this can be measured later)

- Not smoking and must be willing to abstain from alcohol for the duration of the study

To find our more you can visit imperial.crf.nihr.ac.uk, email recruitment.ICRF@imperial.nhs.uk or call 0203 3131086 or 02033138070.

Kind regards

Do you have this study in Southampton?

Hi becsta,

This particular trial is only in London unfortunately and in the very early stages. We will always try to keep people informed of trials in their area via our e-bulletins and also via our website: nras.org.uk/get-involved-re...

Also, every clinical trial that is currently ongoing is available to view on the Government Clinical Trial Gateway. You can search by area and disease and it brings up what trials are currently recruiting.

Hope that helps,
