Hi Northern Moose, presuming you have RA? Welcome and bad luck! But if you have to suffer from this wretched condition at the very least it qualifies you to join this exceptionally kind and knowledgable band of people!

Thank you for all the kind words!!! I am glad I don't have to suffer with RA alone! It's been a long road of pain to get to a diagnosis and I hope it's not a long road till I can be at least somewhat pain free!

Does anyone else have problems sleeping due to pain? I am having a very hard time dealing with always feeling tired and drained, and waking through the night.!!!

Hello and welcome, from Wales!

Yes before my diagnosis I had awful problems with night waking due to shoulder and knee pain. My wonderful rheumatologist gave me a depo medrone jab to tide me over while my medication kicked in. I started on sulphasalazine and it took 12 weeks to fully take effect.

Was fine on that until last year when a nasty chest infection woke up my immune system and I had a massive flare. I've thankfully been stable and pain free on methotrexate for 8 months now. There is hope!!

Wishing you all the very best

Ally x

How long have you been diagnosed and what meds are you on, it takes a while to adjust to these and to find the right balance for you. X
