aching pain front and back of ribs
In short Dillydally, yes. In times of flare-ups it can hurt me to breathe, especially deeply. If you're not sure you perhaps ought to go and see your GP. After all rib pain is in the chest area and we shouldn't mess about with chest pain.
Hope it eases soon.
Love, Legs x
We get costochondritis quite easily - which is inflammation of the bits between your ribs. So if it hurts on the outside of your chest as you breath in & out it's likely to be that. But if you have pain inside your chest then do go and see a GP to get checked out for things like lung infections.
Hi Dilldally, I too get pains in my ribs but with me it's rheumatoid fibrosis and yes it does hurt to breath deeply. I have lung function tests every 6 months. If I were you I would speak to your go.
I agree that you need to get checked out. It's easy to out every symptom down to RA but chest pain shouldn't be messed about with. Best of luck and obviously, I hope it's "only" RA. My rib and sternum pain is miles better now my RA is under control. It does bother me but not nearly as much as it did.
thanks, glad your pain is under control x
