Nerve damage

I had rotator cuff surgery July 2016 and since then physical therapy during these times I started having terrible muscle spasms from the back of my head down to my shoulder I eventually stopped therapy and soon after started having numbness and tingling from my elbow to my thumb my doctor ordered steroid pills which helped a few days after however my forearm and fingers turn on and off like a tens unit, smh I wonder what's happening to my arm and fingers.

I'm having a full thickness tear repaired next week. How was it after the surgery I'd be grateful to know. Hope everything gets back to normal for you
