Remission

I think I am in remission as not having to take as many pain killers which is good. My tiredness seems to be controlled now and not sleeping in the afternoon. I still have to be in bed by 8 pm as I start work at 5am. But am feeling so much better than I did this time last year. Just wanted to share my good news and want to wish everyone a Happy Christmas.

Lovely news for xmas. I hope the only way is up from now on. Happy days ahead. Have a lovey Christmas.

Hi Carol - There are six signs listed as indicating that your RA is in remission - here is one site: verywell.com/what-is-an-art...

The American College of Rheumatology (ACR) classification criteria (1981) for determining clinical remission include:

morning stiffness less than or equal to 15 minutes

no fatigue

no joint pain

no joint tenderness or pain on motion

no soft tissue swelling in joints or tendon sheaths

erythrocyte sedimentation rate (a blood test which measures inflammation) less than or equal to 30 in females and 20 in males

The ACR considers that if you have at least 5 of the six of these then you are indeed in remission. And HOW AWESOME IS THAT??? I have a couple of these right now but am looking forward to the others as well

Merry Christmas - enjoy your special present!
