It's bad enough having RA without someone secretly coming in over night and lowering the height of all your toilets.
Bathroom troubles: It's bad enough having RA without... - NRAS
Bathroom troubles
It's the same person who secretly tightens all your screw top jars, exchanges your socks for ones that you can't get on, and puts lead weights in your duvet.....little devils they are.
lol Rob they've been to my house too 😭
The nearest I've been to feeling a queen?
Parked on home 'thrones' without chill on old bones!
VAT-free 4-inch raised seats mean no repeats
Of a plunge without rear-mirror assistance;
What I wouldn't give for a hydraulic lift
In public 'wee' rooms with no free-fall resistance!
I like the idea of back up assistance - ha ha
Hahaha thanks for the giggle.
I've had that happen too lol solved it by buying four inch raised toilet seats /lids for two that I use left main bathroom one normal for guests when lids down they look as smart as a normal one but so much easier to use no more thinking I'm nearly sitting on the floor or taking ages to get stood up again
Yes, get yourself a raised toilet seat, such a relief.
HA HA HA HA HA. I've had that same problem... AND they raised the sides of my tub so it is harder to get out of the shower... AND they over-tightened all of the lids food and supplies come in.
Thank goodness for children to open the childproof lids on my RA meds... lol
Yeah - It's sad, but I had to tell my pharmacy to put "adult" lids on mine - no kids around...
Pharmacy man asked if I wanted child friendly tops, replied my 13year old opens then for me. Staying with this as I also have a granchild now who might open the easy ones ( if I put my pills away I forget to take them) .
Lol Karen! 😜
That *&! was in my house too!!
I find myself realising what many of you have been suffering with for years and that I have been taking for granted... fizzy drink cans, saucepans, low sofas, smart phones, writing, turning my daughters clothes the right way, shoe laces, bottom wiping, toothpaste, Christmas decorations, tin openers, buttons... hard to say with the computer keyboard as I was always rubbish.
I've also had my toilet flushes changed from press down handles to push button ones I was finding them very difficult to use now it's so much easier. Seems to be never ending changes I'm having to make after Christmas it will be all taps changed to push lever ones gripping and turning seem to be beyond me now
I am and have been going through this, I already have the raised seat and a rail to pull me up. Social services also got the bathroom rail and seats, as well as a table trolley for laptop or eating. I have also set up my kitchen so the bins are off the floor and it is easy to fill them and empty. I have put everything within range so minimal bending or stretching, that does my back in, again. Fortunately the previous occupant had the easy taps put in, but I have the adult proof caps problem as well and I don't have an available child to help out , as least my high tech knowledge beats them hands down
Oh that is sooo funny, it made my morning,,,,,, I will laugh every time I try to get of off loo.
