Been in agony with right hip now 😼As you know my left I have trochanteric bursitis saw gp this afternoon she's sending me for an X-ray she thinks it might be same in right but feels a lot more painful 😖 xx

Hopefully you will be given a steroid injection into it, the relief is wonderful.

I had a very painful hip which meant I just couldn't walk very far at all. I had two steroid injections over 6 months and now I don't have any hip pain at all. It wasn't instant relief but if definitely works. Hope the same happens for you because it's miserable!

The trouble i had was from a compressed disc and i had a lodocaine infusion and the pain has almost gone darling hugs for you .xxxx

I have trochanteric bursitis in both hips, had it for 10 years now. Just had MRI for a surgeon, but most probably will have more guided injections. The surgeon called mine refractory. I hope yours behave.

It's agony only had it in left hip now started in right xx

I understand your pain. Have had bursitis for several years. I had an appointment with a new Rheumy nurse two weeks ago, and as I was in a lot of pain from the bursitis, asked her for an injection, or suggestions on how to manage it. She wasn't interested and suggested I mention it at my next appointment with the rheumatologist in MARCH ! I went and saw my GP, who wasn't impressed.

Hi Deejojo i too have trochanteric bursitis in my left hip found out in October this year had the injection and it's eased it a lot my question is how soon can i have the next one as it's now about 2 months and i know they only last a few weeks. I am aware that you can only have 3 a year but wondered if it is the same with trochanteric bursitis ?

Just had my X-ray on way home 🏡 hope tells something ?? I had a steroid injection last year in left hip it did help hope I get some relief soon I know what the pains like xx
