I would contact a union if I were you and get advice.

Some disability benefit is not dependent on employment but others such as ESA will not let you apply on some cases as you voluntarily left your work.

However if you want to take it to constructive dismissal it is different.

I would advise you to get support via citizens advice or a union or lawyer depending on which strategy you are hoping to take.

Nras helpline are also useful for this type of advice.

Hope that's a little help , it's a complicated business! And depends on lots of things in your circumstances.

Keep copies of all written requests to your previous employer of considerations you needed. i.e. changing hours. They have to make reasonable adjustments for our problems. If you haven't been over your reasonable needs with them I can't see that you would win any court case. You could apply for PIP and, as previous reply, you need to speak to Citizens advice.

Best to get an appointment with the CAB disability welfare advisor and go through all your options with them. I found ours really helpful in alerting me to things I could apply for that I hadn't considered, as well as checking my applications before I sent them in and giving me advice generally.

I went through exactly the same a few years back.

As you may or may not know the helpful unemploymentmovement.com website has closed down :-(

Luckily there is a good replacement: respectfulbenefits.forumoti...

where you will be able to get advice on how to best deal with Jobcentre shenanigans, ESA / PIP applications, etc

Please also be aware of benefitsandwork.co.uk/ who also provide excellent benefits info and advice.
