There is a little device called a snore mender, buy on line, I think they were around £20 ish, but they really work, good luck

There are hundreds of 'guaranteed' anti snoring devices available to waste your money on. No snoring device works for everyone. The cause of the snoring needs to be investigated by a doctor, or referred to a hospital specialist.

All I can say is I tried a few things which did not work, and in the face of snoring so bad, my husband having to move on to the sofa to sleep most nights, despite using ear plugs. I was recommended the snore mender by a friend who said it had worked on her husband when nothing else had, and yes it worked on me too. For something relatively inexpensive, I thought it was worth a go, and I am so glad I did, and my hubby even more so!

Sorry if my reply seemed a bit harsh.lol. It wasn't meant to be honest😊. I am in the dental profession so know a bit about anti snore devices as I have made them. Having seen patients coming in having tried several over the counter devices, none of which worked. And on a personal level, me and the wife both snore and we decided, for the sake of our health and marriage! We would have separate rooms!

Sometimes there is no solution but to have separate bedrooms. I imagine you already tried the nasal strips, and sleeping on your side, instead of back.

You could give your wife those sponge ear plugs to try. Good luck.

Divorce! No juist kidding of course, In Holland we have got plasters you can put on your nose. They are called Breathe Right. I think they sell them in the UK as well. You can buy them in the drugstores.

Wish you succes! And all the best.

I've been with a mega loud snoring hubby for 10 years.

I could sleep next door and still hear my husband snoring even with nasal spray and nose strip.

Our only solution after trying sooooo many things is that he lets me go to sleep first before he gets into bed.

Only down side is, if i wake up in the middle of the night then i either get no sleep, or i'm on the sofa with ear plugs.

If there is a solution, after trying a lot of things, some quite costly, we haven't found it yet.

Sorry :(

Do you have sleep apnoea? Are you always tired? Try this test: britishsnoring.co.uk/sleep_...

i was having some problems, I thought small ones but it turned out I was stopping breathing 72 times an hour! I now use a CPAP machine at night.

Have you been assessed for sleep apnoea? that can cause loud snoring

The Breathe Right strips work for my husband. The effect tends to wear off by the early morning but at least I now get a good night's sleep.

I was investigated for sleep apnoea because I was constantly tired and snored and woke myself up at night. When the results came back normal, the sleep consultant recommended losing weight and/or getting a mouth guard. I couldn't get on with the standard ones, but eventually had one made for me by the dentist for teeth-grinding, and it did indeed also stop the grinding!

I would suggest you ask your GP for a referral to a sleep clinic. They can evaluate your problem and offer the best advice.

Thanks to all of you for your advice I think getting divorced is NO option as we have only been married 18 months so it looks like I need to go to the Dr and see what he says.
