My hands are very painful and deformed. A friend of mine has two friends with the same problem. One has had titanium rods inserted and the other knuckle replacement.. They are both greatly improved. Has any one had either of these ops. Done and what was the result?

No but I know what your going through because mine are killing me as we'll and everywhere else
Hi Magnolia, I haven't had any ops, but my fingers are very swollen and disfigured and very painful. Not sure what can be done, I also have diabetic neuropathy (according to my Rheumy) and fibro. I wish you all the best in getting some relief. Apparently capcisine cream is good for pain relief, waiting for an appointment to discuss this.
Good luck.

Hi Magnolia25,
Sorry to hear about your hands and hopefully someone on here has had one of the ops you mentioned who can describe their experience. If not, do give the Helpline a ring (0800 298 7650) as they have a wealth of experience and maybe able to see if we can match you with one of our telephone volunteers who's had a hand operation.
Best wishes

Thank you for your reply,Emma. I will certainly give the helpline a call tomorrow morning
