Hi Lou...Welcome to the site and sorry to read about your situation...you have it tough at the moment. I find this site extremely useful especially when I was first diagnosed. Best wishes x

Welcome loppyloo12. I'm a bit further down the line, diagnosed seropositive in 2008. What a tough position for you to be in though, coping with your own diagnosis & getting used to your changes & meds, stressful at best & also caring for someone as well. There are a few others here in similar situations, myself included though thankfully not terminal but flippin hard work at times, especially when we're not tickety boo ourselves, we do it because we love them whatever don't we? I take my hat off to you.

We're here when you need us. :)

I hope you have help caring for your partner. In my GP practice there is a notice up saying that help is available for carers. I wonder if your GP would be a good place to start to see what help is available for both of you... maybe referral to social services?

You do have an awful lot on your plate and do need to take care of yourself. Is there any help, physically or emotionally at your work place too? Grab every help there is around including family and friends xx

I have been told, recently, that the best time to shop for food is early morning and in the evening. My source told me that he goes to M&S after 4 pm and gets great bargain....much cheaper than Tesco!

Don't tell everyone though otherwise they will all dash there and the bargains will be snapped up!!!

Hi there I to agree with everything everyone has said, very sad time, you need to enlist as much help as possible so that when you are at home you have time to end with yourartner and to pace yourself and rest as much as possible so as to get thru the next day. When cooking double your recipes and freeze half, acct any offers of help. You must look after YOU to be an

E to lol after yourartner my thoughts are with you.

mariecurie.org.uk, worth a look through & not cancer dedicated. You'll see it says "care & support through terminal illness"

Hi Loo. So sorry you are experiencing such a bad time. I know Marie Curie have just changed their logo so that it doesn't say cancer care because they care for all who need it. It might be worth trying them. As for food. Have you tried Aldi or Lidl? You get so much more for your money and more and more people are using them. I don't myself so can't give a personal recommendation but I know plenty of people who do. All the best x
