Can anyone explain in 'basic English' the difference between these two pains? I'm not sure I have fibro & would be interested to know what type of pain comes with fibro.
Thanks

Hi Widget,
I have put a link to an article on the ARUK website about the pain associated with fibromyalgia and the general publication:
arthritisresearchuk.org/art...
arthritisresearchuk.org/sho...
Hope this helps somewhat,

Hi, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 8 years before RA. For me the fibromyalgia was worse in morning just like RA however I woke up feeling like I ran a marathon the previous day, like muscle tiredness not strained, I also noticed any stress would prompt immediate pain. The RA pain is directly in joints. But this is just my experience and not sure if it helps 😀
I was diagnosed with seronegative RA in June of 2014. Then was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia last week. To tell you the truth I don't know much of anything at this point. But I do know that the pain is different with me. The Fibro hurts all over (up and down my arms, across my chest and upper shoulders/back, and the RA hurts mainly in my hands, wrists, elbows and feet. I just dream of a day that I'll wake up and actually feel good!
