Dear Nurseratchette,
We have a lot of information on the various DMARDS there are, including Leflunomide, on the NRAS website nras.org.uk/getting-establi...
There is a fuller section on the drug here: nras.org.uk/an-introduction...
It's important to note though that although there are possible side-effects (as there are with most medications) that you will be closely monitored througout including blood tests and blood pressure.
If you have any further concerns, do contact the Helpline team via email helpline@nras.org.uk and they will get back to you as soon as they can or do consider giving them a ring on 0800 298 7650 in the New Year (the Helpline is open again on 2nd Jan).
Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year,
Emma - NRAS
Hi there
If u are well why are you coming off your treatment? I am often sore and tired but my bloods are relatively ok. Not sure why this is except maybe pain caused by joint damage and biomechanical errors which I have in my feet and hands. Sometimes we can get very scared of possible side effects but you may not get any of them. We are all so very different. I wish you well on Leflonamide. Merry Christmas.
