Pains in my chest.

Good morning everyone. Was just wondering if anyone else here gets pains in there chest. If I'm coughing or sneezing the pain in my chest is really bad. Feels like my rids are bruised. On loads of meds but been pain free for a few months or as pain free as I can remember. It's worrying me as chest pains in any form are not good.

Hiya cliffsills1. If it's worrying you please go & see your GP. It could be due to any number of things & always best to report anything unusual & get it checked out.

There are a number of reasons you can have pains in the chest and your GP is the one to check you out and make a diagnosis. Infection is number 1 and being on all this medication makes us so prone to all kinds of bugs. I have only had awful pains in the chest once and that was pleurisy. Try and make an appointment with your GP ASAP.

When I first started MTX, I developed an infection in my lungs that lasted several weeks. I was plagued with a hard cough that eventually became very painful in one area on my right side. I couldn't take deep breaths or cough or sneeze without terrible discomfort. I thought sure I had broken a rib from all the coughing. Xrays ordered by a walk-in doc showed nothing but my rheumatologist said that I must have bruised the cartilage and tissue between my ribs. It took months to heal completely. I hope you find relief from whatever you are suffering from.
