Well I'm now 3 1/2 weeks post left wrist replacement and going ok so far! Movement in digits is improving but I feel very vulnerable if splint is taken off. have follow up next tues with consultant and then the plans for intensive physio will be made. Has anyone else had this done? How did it go for you?

Wrist replacement
Never had it done, just wanted to say hope the healing will not be too long for you, and good luck with the exercises. xx
Hi, I had a wrist replacement exactly one year ago today and although it was a tough op and recuperation it was honestly the best thing I could have done. I have more movement than before and the constant pain has gone. I also felt vulnerable without my splints but you soon feel more confident and the physios are good at advising you how long to wear them. I had tendon reconstruction at the same time and had to wear a full arm splint at night to keep my fingers in extention which was very uncomfortable but a small price to pay for regaining movement. I had a lot of physio and worked hard at my exercises to make sure I got the benefit from the op. Good luck and feel free to ask if you need to know anything else
