Rituximab for RA

Hi, I'm new to this forum, but not new to RA. I'v been diagnosed 4 years ago and haven't discovered my cure yet. Tried Embrel, Simponi , RoActemra and now my rheumy wants to put me on Rituximab. My question is has it worked for anybody? I'm tired of using such strong medication myself without any positive results for my RA.

I suffer from palindromic arthritis its another auto immune disease, I haven't tried it yet but would not hesitate it is a fantastic drug and has helped many with auto immune diseases including my wife

Hi EleRA,

I have put a link here to our NRAS article about Rituximab that I hope you will find helpful.

Hi EleRA, I tried Rituximab last year but it was of no benefit at all. I've had RA for 43 years and the only drug that works for me is Methotrexate. Hope Rituximab works for you.

Hello EleRA

I've had RA for nearly 6 years and during this time, like you and many others, I've had various treatments, either solo or combined, oral or injection. Some worked for a short time and some just gave me intolerable side-effects. The balance for never quite right.

Then after just under 2 months ago I was given Rituximab. I am really pleased to tell you I am SOOOOOO well and have zero pain or swelling. I feel great and without hesitation recommend you try it. As you know not everyone responds the same. I really hope it works for you too.

Thanks to Rituximab I've been able to wear the shoes I love (Heels!) dance, go the gym, be out socialising, work without taking time off due to fatigue... In short, I really feel like I am living again! I have much more energy and overall movement. The downside is I have no excuse not to cook anymore or get out of chores! :-)

Please update me on how you are . Wishing you well EleRA

Best, Rina xx
