You could start a pain diary to take with you. You will be asked a lot of questions, this usually prompts you for things you may have forgotten.

As lab-lover says a diary is a good idea. I am doing one at the moment for my next appointment. I also write anything I'm concerned about, especially any changes since my last appointment but you may wish to write down any questions as any first appointment can be daunting & you'll be taking a lot in & some of the questions you'd thought to ask may well disappear.

Definitely take photos of any inflammation as sods law will be that you are better on the day.

I can't ever notice my inflammation physically but I know it's there as knees feel squishy (don't know how else to describe it) lol

I have had Rheumatoid Arthritis for 27 yrs & I always write down when I started having a flareup, what joint was hurting, etc.& I take this to the doctor, giving him a copy.

Some people also find it useful to take someone with them to first appointment, as it can go by in a blur. Others have recorded the conversation on their iPhones. Whatever makes you feel best.

write down all the questions you have. also take someone with you as they may remember something you missed. good luck and try not to worry. the rheumy people are brilliant.

I hope so. My only worry now is that they said I don't have it when I'm in so much pain! I know it sounds silly but I'm 29 and had mild joint pains my entire life....it's just got so severe now it's changed my life! I'm 99% sure I have this condition just need this diagnosis and treatment
