Hi ladydeerthorpe,

Please see my colleague Victoria's post on Friday or go to our website to see a statement from Healthcare at Home nras.org.uk/news_events/sta...

There are some new contact details there which may be of help. I hope you get your delivery soon.

Kind regards,

Hi Ruth, Thanks for that info, but there is no reply to the numbers given and no reply to emails. Are other

people having the same problem? I'm not sure what else I can do. With Thanks.

in reply toladydeerthorpe

Yes we've had lots of people in the same position. Sorry the numbers haven't worked. Keep trying and we will let you know if we have any more updates.

Hello Ruth

Another problem we have with this company is We live six miles outside a town, so they cannot give a morning or afternoon appointment. So we have to possibly wait all day for delivery, At the moment we get deliveries every four weeks this can waste a day We have had one missed delivery and all the rest has generally arrived mid afternoon/ late afternoon, this can waste a day a month

Have you tried looking at the Treatment Tracker the night before your delivery on the website? This is where I find out whether delivery in the morning or the afternoon. I always allow an extra hour either way on times for being at home. You need to put in your Account number to see it, hope this helps.

in reply to

That is what I was told to do except treatment tracker on Monday showed no delivery scheduled when it was actually on its way So it is not a definite...the system is not particularly great at the moment

I have arranged to leave a cool box outside as they come at different times of the day although it should be between 1 - 6. Apart from the chaos during the Christmas period, this has worked very well for years.

in reply to

Bob....I can be in the same situation as yourself, so what I have arranged now is that the delivery is made to my local pharmacist and I simply go and collect when it suits me.....it might be worth having the conversation with your pharmacist....and HaH were happy to arrange delivery there

Please send your feedback/enquiries to this address.

Why can't people pick up from a chemist? This is obviously a failing system.

Hope it gets sorted out

in reply tocathie

Could be due to the cost of items and that they have to be refrigerated at all times, just my thoughts!

Yes and they could be bulky, but chemists can be so helpful, ours is

I think with biologics the pharmaceutical companies themselves wish to keep more tabs on what is given to each patient and that is cost driven.....I am only allowed one injection at a time because of cost and the potential waste if my treatment is stopped or changed as the medication once dispensed cannot be given to another patient as there is no guaranteed environmental control that would be a horrendous amount of money to be lost. And the system works well with most delivery companies, for whatever the prescription as it is not just for RA, whether it be BUPA, HaH, Medco. The other thing to take into consideration is this is supposed to be more than a delivery service with each patient having an allocated nurse who can advise and teach or even dispense the medication having been outsourced from the NHS which is why it cannot simply be dispensed from a chemist

Hi,I had the same problem with them and couldn't get hold of anyone since before Christmas.eventually I rang my Rheumy consultant's secretary.she was very helpful and put me through to the lady for orders the meds. The lady said she will send hah an email and within 5 minutes they had rang and arranged a delivery for the next day.

May I suggest you ring the hospital and they will sort it out ASAP.

Let us know how you get on.good luck xxx
